Aberdeen Self Catering Guest House

Description: A welcoming farm-like atmosphere in the middle of the small historical Karoo town. The real guests here are the ducks, rabbits, chickens, cats and dogs who roams freely. We offer an air conditioned conference facility for up to 15 delegates as well as an event venue for small weddings, dinner events, family gatherings, reunions, kiddies parties and more.
Bed capacity: Our accommodation consists of 3 two-bedroom, self-catering, Karoo cottages.
On-site facilities: Pre-pitched tents and mattresses. Bush kitchen with basic cooking facilities. Coffee, Tea, Sugar and Milk. Private braai area. Safe parking for bikes next to tents. Bikers Camp offers enough space for 6 small tents and 6 bikes only. The camp has electricity as well as a private bush kitchen with a gas stove and washing facilities. Undercover parking behind a locked gate in front of each cottage is also provided.
Style: Small well-behaved pets are welcome by prior arrangement.

Die Dorpshuis, Aberdeen.

Type: Holiday Home, Self Catering.
Description: Die Dorpshuis was built in 1870, and for many years it was used as a “tuishuis” (a home away from home). It has been fully restored in 2019 to a quaint two-bedroom home away from home in its own right. Adorned with green shutters round the sash windows, wooden floors and high ceilings – it demonstrates a typical style popular in early Aberdeen when the Cape Dutch style and minimalism played a big role.
The vine arbor on the back stoep provides a tranquil setting to relax and escape from the busy city life. Guests can enjoy breakfast at the Kamdebo Padstal every morning.
Bed capacity: Die Dorpshuis offers two spacious bedrooms – providing accommodation for up to 4 guests. One with a king size bed and the second bedroom has twin beds, ideal for children. The rooms lead into an entrance hall, living room which has a retro couch, two comfortable chairs, a small dining room and a large fully equipped kitchen. The family bathroom has a generous walk-in shower.
On-site facilities: We supply braai packages on request for your convenience along with firewood and firelighters. Lunch or dinner can be ordered from your hosts in advance and enjoyed on the property. On arrival guests will be welcomed with a freshly baked farm-loaf and butter with homemade preserves. Secure parking. BBQ facilities. Daily housekeeping.
Style: Children of all ages are welcome.

Pagel House, Aberdeen

Logie Junior, a wealthy, ostrich feather trader, before being bought by zoo and circus owner, Frank Wilke, and was renamed Pagel House. Stockdale Karoo Farm, Aberdeen

Description: Stockdale farm has a rich and vibrant history which goes back to the early 1800’s. The farm was founded and acquired in 1856 by Sir Andries Stockenström
Bed capacity: Our guest house sleeps a total of 11 people (3 double beds and 5 single beds). We have 2 en-suite bathrooms, 2 other bathrooms and a separate loo. All linen is provided and the kitchen has a gas stove, microwave and dishwasher. It is also fully equipped with all the relevant utensils you may require. Our beautiful cottage sleeps a maximum of two people. It has a fully equipped kitchen and a separate braai unit. It has it’s very own living room as well as en-suite bathroom.
