Located very privately in the forest below Malabar, our winding walkway ends our gorgeous Executive King Honeymoon Suite.

The scenic route from Plettenberg Bay to Port Elizabeth winds through rural farmlands and indigenous forests, and dips down to Nature’s Valley on the edge of the Tsitsikamma section of the Garden Route. It’s on this route that you’ll find Lily Pond Country Lodge – with its beautiful lily pond’s surrounded by 12 hectares of natural-style gardens and indigenous forest.

Redford House, The Crags

Description: Redford House is a four star historic country guest house. It is situated at the foot of the Tsitsikamma mountains on its own 50 acre nature reserve, 20 km from Plettenberg Bay in an area known as The Crags – a much sought after tourist destination due to spectacular mountains, forest and magnificent beaches and tourist attractions in Plettenberg Bay, Nature’s Valley and Storms River.
Bed capacity: The Accommodation consists of three units, which are separate from the old Redford farmhouse. They are Noble House, The Carriage House and Mrs. Tiggy Winkle’s Self Catering Cottage. Guests in Noble House and The Carriage House have breakfast included and dinner can also be arranged, and Mrs. Tiggy Winkle’s Cottage is self catering.
Site facilities: There is a pool pavilion and art studio next to the pool and tennis court.

Rocky Road Backpackers.

Description: Rocky Road Backpackers is set in a 5 hectare small-holding amidst indigenous forest and open grazing pastures located in The Crags, which is ±20 km’s (16 miles) east of Plettenberg Bay, Rocky Road is the gateway between the country’s Western Cape and Eastern Cape Provinces and is ideally situated to provide superb accommodation for travellers. We are 15 minutes away from the World’s Highest Bungy at Bloukrans Bridge and a mere 10 minute drive down a spectacular mountain pass to the unspoiled Natures Valley beach in Tsitsikamma National Park, frequently described as the Jewel of The Garden Route.
Bed capacity: Your options for accommodation range from fully equipped double or twin Luxury Tents, Standard Tents which overlook the indigenous forest to cottages, timber cabins and hostel style dorms. You are also welcome to pitch your own tent in our attractive garden. Our guest facilities provide you with everything you need to feel at home: we serve evening meals and breakfast if you let us know the day before.
On-site facilities: Our two large entertainment areas have numerous fireplaces and braai (BBQ) pits, a well-stocked lively bar and our hot tub/splash pool facilities are great areas in which to mingle with fellow travellers. We often have outdoor fires in the evenings around which to fully enjoy good company and starry nights.

Sweetwater Farm Cottages, The Crags

DescriptionSweetwater Farm is on Redford Road, a quiet, rural part of The Crags, which lies between Plettenberg Bay and Nature’s Valley. It offers a spectacular view of the Tsitsikamma Mountains and some of the most beautiful scenery in the Garden Route of South Africa.
Bed capacity: The three cottages, Pine Tree, Oak Tree and the larger, Palmiet House, have been lovingly renovated with all modern conveniences, but retain their original charm and the grounds boast beautiful old trees, an abundance of bird life, as well as small animals like buck, porcupine and wild pigs.
In-room facilities: All houses have TV’s and a satellite dish, but you will need to bring your own decoder and card. Linen and towels are included, but please bring you own beach towels. All houses have braai / barbeque facilities. Wood is available for purchase.
On-site facilities: The Sweetwaters Barn Art Exhibition is an annual event, held in December and the perfect place to buy original artwork. The event is arranged by Tertius van Huyssteen who is an accomplished artist and the work includes oils, watercolours, pottery, embroidery, quilting, photographs and much more.
On-site activities: Please contact us if you are interested in Quilting workshops or Quilting weekends. We have a local artist, Pru Bolus from Langa Lapu Fabrics, who makes beautiful sun-dyed fabrics, which are well-known to both local and international quilters.
